Leslie Lonsdale-Cooper worked with Michael Turner for over half a century, translating the Adventures of Tintin into English. Through their extraordinary efforts to do justice to the work of Hergé – Leslie admits that they worked an average of four hours per page – the translators managed to bring a whole new audience to the universe of Tintin. With backgrounds in publishing and an acute sense of what would make sense to English children, Leslie and Michael did such a good job that today many English-speaking children are completely unaware of Tintin's Belgian roots! This video contains a series of clips taken from an interview recorded with Leslie-Lonsdale Cooper in 2012. The video was produced by Moulinsart.
