An exhibition in Tokyo

From Saturday, March 16t to Monday, May 6 2002, The Bunkamura Museum of Art in Tokyo presents an exhibition. A first in Japan ! The lunar rocket and the sub-marine invented by Professor Calculus will be displayed to the visitors of the land of the Rising Sun in an exhibition dedicated to our favorite character, Tintin (TAN TAN).

Next March, in Shibuya, near Tokyo, Tintin and his friends will be the heroes of an exhibition during which visitors will discover original drawings from the early period – showing Hergé’s creative process – as well as numerous treasures amassed during the adventures of the celebrated reporter. Each of the most popular albums – “Destination Moon”, “Explorers on the Moon”, “Cigars of the Pharaoh”, “Tintin in Tibet”, “The Secret of the Unicorn” and “Red Rackham’s Treasure” – will be subject to a themed installation. The centerpiece will be dedicated to Tintin’s spatial adventures and will display the gigantic rocket and the lunar tank as a testimony of the first explorer to leave footprints on the moon.
