Met Kuifje naar Peru

From March 21, 2002 to April 27, 2003. The Musée du Cinquantenaire in Brussels features. A journey through the pre-Columbian history of Peru, among the relics which inspired Hergé for The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners of the Sun.

In association with Fondation Hergé, this exhibit gives the Musées Royaux d’Art et d’Histoire (Royal Museums of Art and History) an opportunity to present a wide array of masterpieces from the pre-Columbian era of Peru. Their selection, among hundreds at hand, was quite arduous. In addition, matching Peruvian archeological reality with Hergé’s work turned out to be quite a challenge. In the end, the artifacts on display allow to draw the parallel between Hergé’s limitless imagination and scientific interpretations offered by the archeologists and their discoveries

Musée du Cinquantenaire - Parc du Cinquantenaire 10, 1000 Brussels. Open Tuesday to Friday from 9 :30 am to 5 pm - Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10 am to 5 pm - Tel : +32 (0)2 741 72 11
