Inauguration of the board Destination Moon - Grand'Place, Brussels
You have until Sunday 10 May to admire an enlarged version of page 42 from the book Destination Moon. Where? The Grand’Place in Brussels. How big is it? 21 x 30 metres – More than 600 m!
Brussels has welcomed the largest page of Tintin, ever exhibited in the whole world.
The Head Minister of the Brussels Region, Mr Charles Picqué, and the magistrate of Brussels, Mr Freddy Thielemans, revealed themselves to be expert Tintinologists in front of a crowd of international journalists and throngs of Tintin’s friends, who wouldn’t have missed the occasion for the world.
A little bit of history has been made: Hergé often portrayed Tintin and Snowy in a Brussels setting, but never on the Grand’Place. From 7 May 2009, that’s all changed!
