The Unicorn returns to the old Brussels flea market!
The fifth Tintin flea market is to take place at the old market in the Marolles in Brussels, on Saturday 18 July 2009, from 4 pm.
While the true Bruxellois call it the 'old market' or the 'flea market', the name of the square on which the market takes place is the Place du Jeu de Balle, for those using GPS!
This year there is an extra surprise in store: under the main marquee, a model of the Unicorn will be on display right in the same spot where Tintin found it in June 1942. This model has been made by Henri Hermans, and is sure to attract a lot of attention.
The icing on the cake is that under the same tent, the translator of The Secret of the Unicorn in Ostend dialect, and other Tintin books in the local dialect Brusseleir, will be available to sign these books.
This year there will be a record number of stalls and thanks to the support of Bel RTL, visitors are expected to flock to the event!
